Except for certain areas of our Website that are limited to our retail dealers and distributors, you need not "sign-in" or register to browse our site. This means you may browse the web pages intended for end-user customers without providing any personal information.

Personal Information Collection and Use

In the event that you choose to engage in a transaction while accessing our Website or use VTech Software or require VTech Support, we will ask that you provide certain personal information that is needed to complete the transaction or provide VTech Support. We will use the personal information only for that purpose. For example, if you ask us for additional information about a product, we will ask for your email address so that we can respond to your enquiry. If you purchase one of our products, we will ask that you provide us with the information needed to process your order, charge your credit card account, send you messages regarding your order and deliver the product you have purchased. Such information may include your first and last name, credit card number, billing and shipping address, email address and telephone number. Except as otherwise outlined in this policy, we do not give, sell, or trade to other firms or our affiliates any personal information about you or your transactions with us, nor will we contact you using this information beyond the scope of your enquiry or transaction unless you specifically authorize us to.

Product Registration and Marketing Communications

We also provide customers with the opportunity to register their VTech products. We refer to this as "Registration Data." Providing Registration Data is optional, and we do not require that you give us this information to complete a purchase, receive warranty services or browse our site.

If you choose to provide Registration Data, we may use it, alone or in conjunction with other publicly available information, to identify other products or services that we think you may be interested in purchasing and to send you information about those other products or services. Sometimes we share Registration Data with other VTech owned entities who offer products and services that we think may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive these messages or prefer that we not share your Registration Data with any other companies, you can so indicate by unchecking the "opt-in" box located on the Consumer Warranty Registration page. If you uncheck the opt-in box, we will not give, sell, or trade to another firm or our affiliates any Registration Data about you or your transactions with us, except as otherwise outlined in this policy, nor will we contact you regarding other products or services.

Opt-In and Opt-Out Preferences

If you did not opt-out or if you gave us authorization, you may receive periodic emails regarding products or services that we think may be of interest to you. You may opt-out of receiving these emails by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email received. It may take us up to 5 business days to complete this process, as permitted by law. If you choose, you may at any time re-authorize us to send you emails regarding products or services that we think may be of interest to you.

Data Security and Encryption

We use Secure Socket Layer Technology ("SSL") to encrypt the personal information and Registration Data you give us through our site so that it cannot be read in transit. All of your personal information and Registration Data, including your credit card number, mailing address, email address, and telephone number, as well as information related to your order, will be transmitted encrypted to protect your privacy. Further, to ensure that your personal information and Registration Data are secure, we store this information in a database that is not accessible over the Internet.

Cloud Subscription Services for Baby Monitor Products

VTech offers an optional cloud subscription service for certain baby monitor products. This service enables users to store and access video, audio, and images captured by their baby monitor devices.

  • Data Collection and Use
When you subscribe to the cloud service, VTech collects and stores media data including video footage, audio, and images captured by your baby monitor. This data is used solely to provide you with access to your recordings and to support the functionality of the cloud service.
  • Data Retention
Your media data will be retained by VTech until your subscription is terminated or until the storage limit of your subscription plan is reached, at which point older recordings may be automatically deleted to make room for new ones.
  • User Control
Subscribers may access, download, or delete their stored recordings through the associated app, depending on the features available in their subscription plan.
  • Security Measures
VTech employs industry-standard data protection measures to safeguard your data, including encryption and secure access controls. Despite these safeguards, no system can be completely secure, and users are encouraged to use strong passwords and keep their login credentials confidential.
  • Third-Party Access
VTech does not share your cloud-stored media data with third parties not related to the service we provided. Your cloud-stored media data is processed and hosted on the platform we built on Amazon Web Services.
  • Consent and Subscription Terms
Use of the cloud subscription service is optional and subject to separate terms and conditions. By subscribing, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your media data as described in this section.
